Benefit for Stroh's Man... Tony Simon

WATA's beloved scraper driver of 10 plus years, one of the original founders of MMOGTA and people mover driver, Tony Simon, has been diagnosed with throat cancer and is in Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.

A benefit is going to be held for him on May 14, 2011 at the Wheatland Township Park in Remus.

The benefit will begin at 1:00 pm with lunch at 3:00 pm.

There will be 50/50 drawings and an auction.

Please come join us to help get Stroh's Man back on his feet and on the road to recovery. The family needs all the support you can give and then some!!

Rule Changes for 2011

There is one rule change to be noted for the 2011 pulling year at WATA...

For all classes UP TO and also INCLUDING the 4000 lb weight class, the MAXIMUM Originally Equipped Cubic Inches allowed will be 230 cu.in.
For example an Oliver 88 is originally equipped with 231 cu.in., so they will not be allowed to pull in the 4000 class and under.

Sat Meeting at Rich's

Join us at Rich Simon's pole barn for a meeting for help at the pulls for this season...scrapper tractor drivers, flag people, and such.

We'd like to make sure that our pulls run even smoother than normal. Meeting starts at 8 pm.

All Classes:

Rules have stayed the same this year...just a reminder

• NO speed sensing devices will be allowed in ANY CLASS again this year

Class Changes:

In order to better fit the tractors that come to the pulls, the following class changes have been made for 2010

Antique Classes

• 8200 lb. class has been eliminated
• 6700 lb. class has been added

Plus Classes

• 7000 lb. class has been eliminated
• 3750 lb. class has been added
• 5500 lb. class has been added

LABOR DAY PULL

WOW!!!

With over 70 truck pulling hooks and 250 tractor pulling hooks, the weekend was a huge success and a ton of fun! Thanks to everyone for coming and helping to support WATA.

BARRYTON DAYS - 2009

Hope everyone had fun!!!

With 61 hooks for the Truck Pull on Friday night and 73 hooks for the Tractor Pull on Saturday, Barryton Homecoming Days had a nice turnout. Hope to see all those pullers again next year.
